Pleasant and well organized hostel with dormitories and private rooms with private or shared bathrooms

In Basque, bidea means the way. Located two cuadras from the main square, Bidea Hostel is a pleasant and well-organized hostel in a pretty typical Quindío house. There are dormitories and private rooms with private or shared bathrooms. The whole place is clean and the welcome is nice. The staff is generous with advice on things to see in the area, and you feel a bit at home. Bicycle rental service is available on site and, for the record, travelers arriving by bicycle receive a discount on the room rate.

Very economical, lovely building and staff but a few other downfalls! Kitchen very poorly equipped - most meals there was little to no cutlery to be found anywhere, several lights in the hostel broken, hot water very sporadic, no soundproofing. All signs contradictory so you never know what time breakfast is etc. Lovely bar with a tempting pizza and empanadas menu displayed but no one to cook it so you can’t order food - a simple sign would stop guests getting their hopes up! Two nights of our stay were super loud - on one there was some kind of party in the hostel and people left at 2:30am getting into cars which would suggest they weren’t hostel guests. I’m sure a few improvements would make this a great place to stay.

El personal es amable, la puerta de la habitación es insegura sola tiene una bisagra, no habían cambiado las cobijas ni las sábanas, las camas tenían pelos, la ducha no funcionó el agua caliente.
