Located on the northern tip of the island, in the town of Barnegat, the lighthouse was built in 1859 and is no longer functional today. At its summit, you can enjoy a beautiful view on the beach, the island and, on the other side, the Atlantic Ocean which stretches to the eye. The small museum located next to you will learn more about the history of the lighthouse with numerous images and anecdotes of former sailors.
