VOLCÁN WOLF
A volcano with a richness that interests scientists: on its slopes, an endemic species of iguana has been discovered
At 1,710 m, it is the highest point of the archipelago. It is named after a German geologist and botanist who studied the archipelago in the 19th century. This volcano has a richness that interests scientists; an important fauna since it is on its slopes that a species of endemic iguana has been discovered: the Galapagos pink land iguana. It is also here that 17 turtles have been found, which seemed to be of the same species as the mythical Lonesome George turtle, but which were only hybrids with an exceptional character.
