PLAZA DE ARMAS
Site featuring 2 fine bronze cannons installed in the Lebu Bay area during the Pacific War.
Here you can see two beautiful bronze cannons of almost 3 m long. They even have little names, El Mars and El Rayo, and a history. During the Pacific War, the military authorities ordered fortification works in the Lebu Bay area. In order to strengthen these works, the government decided to donate four old bronze cannons as a relief to the city. In 1910, the President of the Republic authorized the town to dispose of the old bronze cannons left near the cemetery to decorate the main square.
