MOUNTAIN HERITAGE MUSEUM
Located on the main street of the city center, this museum looks like a small boutique. But when you push the door, you realize that the visit goes on at the bottom of what looks like a time grocery store. Several exhibitions evoke past and present activities of the region, from agriculture to skiing, from mountain cycling to mines, and this is both playful and instructive. The most popular attraction, especially in children (and grandchildren), is an electric train that surrounds a model of the city of the twentieth century. If the museum is very interesting, its history is equally fascinating. This historic building, dating back to 1883, was the longest-serving Conoco gas station in service throughout the country. Since 2003, the premises of the old station have been rehabilitated to host the city museum.
