Located in Priol in Ponda, this temple dedicated to Bhagavan Manguesh, an embodiment of Shiva, is certainly the most famous and frequented of Hindus temples of the State. To escape a certain destruction, the lingam was moved from its original location and reappeared much later. It was dismantled in 1560 and rebuilt several centuries later.
