ISLA DAMAS
Island famous for its beaches and emerald-green waters, home to Humboldt penguins, sea lions, cormorants, dolphins...
Damascus Island is one of the three islands that make up the Pingüino de Humboldt National Reserve. Famous for its white sand beaches and emerald green waters, it is also home to many Humboldt penguins, sea lions, cormorants, seagulls, and bottlenose dolphins. A trail goes around Isla Damas in one hour, which is the maximum time to stay on the island. The Conaf is even considering banning the descent, since hundreds of tourists come every day in summer, endangering its ecosystem.
