ANCIENT SITE OF BURNUM (BURNUM - PRINCIPUM)
An archaeological site in the national park, where you can discover the ruins of an ancient military campus with its amphitheater.
Hidden in the Dalmatian hinterland, the former military camp of Burnum was built at the crossroads of two periods of Roman rule. Belonging to the territory of the national park, the archaeological site, open to the public, is accessible by road (2.5 km north of Kistanje). The ruins of the camp commandery arches and the only military amphitheatre in Croatia are worth seeing. The objects found during the excavations are exhibited at the Puljane Eco-Campus.
