My girlfriend and I had an incredible stay this winter! On an early weekend in March, it felt like we had the entire lodge to ourselves. Our room (St. Regis) was stunning with a perfect view from our private balcony, and all food we had from the lodge’s restaurants was top quality. Staff were very helpful and refilled snacks and amenities whenever needed, including unlimited supplies for s’mores! We will absolutely be back.

Elegant, delicious such a beautiful relaxing space, staff is amazing and wish it was open to the public more because I'd definitely be back

Just spent the weekend at the lodge for my wife’s birthday. What a wonderful time! All the staff were super welcoming and knowledgeable. The moment we arrived we were greeted with champagne and fresh cookies. Todd in particular was a real gem! He gave us a wonderful tour of the property, sharing bits of history and interesting facts about the lodge and area. The amenities were great, including an open fire in your room and big tub! We’re already planning when we can return.

Thank you for having Melanie, Mulder ????, and me. The grounds and Maggie's Pub were awesome. We hope to make it back sometime soon in the summer!

What a lovely, homey place with amazing views. Attentive staff and a nice location, not too far from the bustling streets. Looking forward to return! Thank you for making our stay beautiful Lake Placid Lodge

I Had an incredible 2 night stay recently. The Lodge is unbelievably well designed & decorated to fully immerse you in a log cabin charm/coziness. Each room offering a fireplace & pristine views of the lake. I also had some of the best guest services experiences of my life, the concierge/front desk are very well in tune and prepared to accommodate anything within reason. (They will provide a TV upon request) the bar/restaurant staff and ground staff are knowledgeable, quick and attentive. I think Lake Placid Lodge is among the very best hotels in the North Eastern U.S.
If I HAD to offer one suggestion it would be for ‘Artisans’ to consider incorporating larger portions one would expect in a wilderness retreat.
Hope to return soon!

Couldn't be more disappointed from start to finish. Too many issues to discus. Place must be for sale because theres no one in charge and no one knows what's going on. Stay away!!!

Trata -se de um lugar para se desconectar do mundo. Silencio absoluto. Contato com a natureza em seu estado bruto.
Fiquei 7 dias e sai renovado

I’d give zero If I could. Do not stay here!! Our bathroom didn’t have heat when we checked in and the internet didn’t work. Then we lost power no heat or light. The room was 60 degree. Food is terrible and over priced. (22 dollar Lobster bisque? No lobster in it and it’s watered down and doesn’t even remotely taste like lobster and 3 scallops for 60 bucks.) Nespresso matching in the room but only decaf pods available!! Then they come knocking on the door at 8am for housekeeping on cold rainy morning no less. And worst of all no one in charge that you could to speak to.
After 10 days of continuous calls that were never returned by an owner or manager they simply email an offer for a 500 gift card to stay with them again. What a joke!! Why would I ever stay there again after this terrible experience and even more
Terrible way it’s been handled.
Stay at Whiteface Lodge or Mirror Lake instead!!!

This place was 10/10. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at a lot of great places over the years and the LPL ranks way up the ladder. Everything was what one would hope for:, great food and bartending, and great service, but the property and rooms were what really stood out. At every turn, some room or feature of the property wowed us. We stayed in a lakefront “ suite” I’ll call it, which was beautifully-appointed with 2 fireplaces, a nice bottle of Pinot, and smores. The complimentary breakfasts were outstanding. I’ll remember this visit for a long time!

We were extremely disappointed with the service of this lodge. We walked in and we were not greeted. The two ladies at the front were pretty rude and “stuffy”. We ended up leaving and going to White Face Lodge and had the best experience ever! Everyone there was super friendly and the service was top notch- drinks, food games and overall ambiance were incredible! Rooms and the lodge were all 5 star rated. Go there instead!

We had our wedding at Lake Placid Lodge in September 2023 and it was the most amazing weekend, truly magical. The hotel, cabins, and property are stunningly designed and maintained. Everyone on the staff is kind and accommodating, and went out of their way to make us and our guests feel taken care of. Cory, Ashlyn, and Zach especially took care of us and were always checking in to make sure we were happy or seeing if we needed anything. Our guests were totally blown away and all talk about how much they miss it and planning on coming back to the Lodge in the future. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, it’s such a special place, especially for a small wedding.
My only critique is with their security/privacy. Why entitled people from nearby clubs/airbnbs think that they can squat on private property is beyond me. The Lodge has been guests-only for years now, yet no amount of signage or verbal requests to leave the premises seems to make a difference. The Lodge is not blind to the problem, they may just need to hire some extra security. And if you do a full buyout for your wedding, be aware you may have weird strangers roaming around your events, eating your food, and even attempt to claim they're in the wedding! And they are not just oblivious, they are aggressive and confrontational.
Despite this one issue, I would do it all over again at the Lodge. There is no place like it! Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed three days at the lodge earlier this week. This is one place I was so comfortable being in, that I napped peacefully and rested well each night.
The loons on the lake and morning sunrises were glorious.
Our Placid suite was so incredibly comfortable and pleasing with two fireplaces!
The fridge was refreshed daily and it was wonderful to not have to buy and carry basic necessities back to the room.
Breakfast on our private porch consisted of hot tasty blueberry pancakes that were so good, I had them both days.
The tour around the lake in the lodges hackercraft was lovely and we kayaked one day too- both included as part of our stay.
The bathrobes were soft and just the right weight. I bought two!
We enjoyed playing pool in Maggie’s and wished the place would have stayed open a bit later- it was a warm inviting atmosphere.
Artisans was not a good as we’d hoped, but I’m sure most would find it enjoyable. We’re a restaurant family and live in the Hudson Valley near the culinary institute, so we might be tougher than most.
In short, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan to visit again and again.

Unrivaled views...beautiful cozy cabins...wonderful service...food okay at Maggie's but very good at Artisans. Very pricey, but in the end, well worth it. I feel badly that not everyone can afford the treat that is The Lake Placid Lodge.

I wasn't impressed at all. Especially for the value. We even had to call to get permission to go have a drink. They wouldn't serve us dinner. The Adirondacky decor was what I would refer to as strained tchotchke. Like cutouts from kindergarten and finger paints to finish. The bar faces nothing and the bartender looked terrified like he just got out of bartenders college although the drinks were fantastic at $40.00 for two Cosmo's not including tip. The original was so authentic and elegant and this looks like a rush to reopen. I'm in this business professionally for 50 years so maybe I'm just a little bit to critical but if your looking for the real old style Adirondack elegance this ain't it. Dang. I was really looking forward to it too.
Worth every dollar.
Gail and staff were amazing! Anticipated every need.
Rooms were impeccable.
Special details in every room by local artists.
My wife and I will definitely be back.
