Noborigama, literally "the oven that goes up", is a collective oven built in 1895 on the mountainside. This climbing kiln, or dragon kiln, is a traditional form of wood-fired kiln used to heat pottery. It is 47 metres long and has nine firing chambers. After remaining inactive for several years, it was finally restored and resumed operation in 2016. At the beginning of May, a collective firing is carried out there. The potters take turns at the fire, which does not go out for 72 hours.
