This brotherhood is one of the oldest in France. It works to promote the knowledge of Alsatian wines. The headquarters of the Confrérie Saint-Étienne is located at the Château de Kientzheim. It includes an extraordinary wine library with the oldest vintages dating back to 1834! The Confrérie Saint-Étienne also issues the coveted "Sigille" label, guaranteeing the quality of the wines concerned. Throughout the year, it organizes thematic oenological events dedicated to oenophiles and neophytes wishing to learn about Alsace wines.

The Confrérie Saint-Etienne is based at the Château de Kientzheim in the Kaysersberg valley. It aims to promote Alsace wines by offering various workshops. The commented "discovery" tasting allows you to approach the wines of Alsace in a playful and entertaining way in the exceptional setting of the Grand Caveau of the castle. During this session, the advisors of the house relate the history of the Confrérie and the local vineyard. You can also visit the prestigious underground wine library of the castle. It houses 60,000 bottles, from 1834 to the present day. The workshop "Marry like a chef with Alsatian wines" will also delight oenophiles. Moreover, the brotherhood organizes evenings combining commented tasting, wine tests and high gastronomy dinner. The program is available on the website. Note that it is possible to rent the castle for your professional or private events. It has a Grand Caveau with audio and video equipment, several reception rooms and a chapter house. A professional kitchen and a closed parking lot are also available on site.
