URSUS LADINICUS MUSEUM
Didactic and interactive exhibition in a Ladin museum dedicated to the bear in Corvara.
This three-storey branch of the Ladin Museum is dedicated to the bear(Ursus ladicinus by its Latin name), which has always survived in the Dolomites, on the border with Slovenia, and has been successfully reintroduced to the region. This exhibition, which will delight children, retraces its genealogical history, from prehistoric bears onwards, with giant fossils that are very common in the region, and which are well showcased here. The museum is ultra-modern, and the exhibition is educational and interactive. In the basement, a cave has been reconstructed with a hibernating bear.
