A remarkable natural site to discover in Vipiteno.
For 2.5 kilometers, the Racines torrent has carved through the marble to form these steep-sided gorges. Wooden footbridges and paths carved into the rock allow you to follow the course of the river as it cascades down the valley. The small Stanghe gorge is also known as the Gilf ravine. The gorge can be visited from May to November, in about an hour. So pack a picnic lunch, some water and good shoes, and off you go for a great walk!
