The Taino civilization, now extinct in Haiti, has left many traces, including petroglyphs in rivers and caves, but also many artifacts testifying to a very successful art. The engraved rocks of Sainte-Suzanne are easily accessible from the village of Sainte-Suzanne, via a winding path through fields dotted with fruit trees. The bed of the Sainte-Suzanne River is dotted with large rocks that were carved more than 1,000 years ago. This moving visit takes us back into the distant history of the island that the Tainos called Ayiti.
