Riyadh's metro is a bit of a long shot. For several years now, the capital's inhabitants have been waiting for it to be put into circulation. Work began in 2014, with the simultaneous opening of 6 lines to relieve traffic congestion in the city. But various problems have stalled development on several occasions, and the inauguration of the metro system has been repeatedly postponed. Originally scheduled for 2020, it is not expected to take place before 2025. Tests are currently being carried out.
