Okku is undoubtedly the best Japanese restaurant in the Saudi capital. An army of samurai greets you and leads you into the dining room. Black and red dominate, creating an elegant, hushed atmosphere. The high bay window is hidden from the inquisitive eyes of the street by wooden panels engraved with kanjis, hiraganas and katakanas. The extensive menu features the great classics of Japanese cuisine, from wagyu beef to nigiri made by the chef behind his refrigerated bar. The restaurant is also renowned for its original cocktails.
