Sawgha is the first boutique specializing in Saudi handicrafts to open in the country. It is the brainchild of the National Handicrafts Program supported by the Ministry of Tourism and National Heritage. 59 craftsmen from 6 different regions have been selected and a thousand items chosen to feature in this boutique, a veritable showcase of endangered know-how. There are fewer than 5,000 craftsmen left in the country. Woven objects, jewelry, pottery and ceramics, woodwork and marquetry are among the items selected.
