This mosque of Imam Turki Bin Abdullah, one of the largest in the country, can accommodate 17,000 people.
Walking up the esplanade from the Al-Masmak fortress, you come to Al Safa square. Gates and soldiers indicate that you are at the end of the colonnade of the Great Mosque of Imam Turki Bin Abdullah. The vast courtyard can be crossed to reach the souk on the other side, but only by the faithful. This is the Great Mosque of Riyadh, with a capacity for 17,000 people. It is one of the largest mosques in the country.
