TOWER BOWER
Located on the top of the city's highest hill, Oke-Are, the Bower Tower offers a superb panoramic view of Ibadan, which measures the city's gigantic size with its ochre roofs. A little hard to find although you can see it from afar, you can access it through a popular district of Ibadan, where it is better to be accompanied by someone who knows the area, but who gives rise to an interesting walk. The 18-metre high tower was built in 1936 in honour of Captain Robert Lister Bower, Ibadan's colonial administrator from 1893 to 1897. If you dare climb it, the spiral inner staircase is a curiosity, which constitutes a propeller with two entrances.
