MUTANDA LAKE RESORT

This hotel is located in Uganda. It is a good address for travellers travelling to this country from northern Rwanda. At an altitude of 1,800 metres, Lake Mutanda Resort is hidden in a grove on the small Mushongero peninsula. The 16 cottages, very pleasant, all have a nice view of the lake, but those facing south enjoy a breathtaking backdrop of the Virunga range. The bar-restaurant, with its terrace caressed by vesperal zephyrs and its subdued interior atmosphere, will delight the big gourmands and fine gourmets since its cuisine is both copious and excellent. A wide range of activities is also highlighted: discovery of Lake Mutanda and its islands (notably Mutanda Island, the largest and only inhabited lake), excursion to the shores of Lake Mulehe, visit of the village of Mukozi, etc. The planned purchase of new kayaks and the construction (underway during our survey) of a platform dedicated to the practice of yoga should further increase the offer of leisure and relaxation. In short, a superb address!
