PIRÁMIDE VOTIVA
Site that must have been the main temple of La Quémada, with vertical walls and formerly with plaster and flat stones.
The verticality of its walls is striking. It was originally covered with a plaster and the flat stones(lajas) were sealed with a mortar that has now disappeared due to the combined action of rain and wind, thus causing a certain subsidence of this building that was to be the main temple of the city. The square holes that held the support beams for the scaffolding used during construction can still be seen. Behind the temple is a path that leads to a second hill.
