AIGUAMOLL DE LA BÓBILA
One of the few wetlands in the Pla de Bages. It takes its name from the former clay extraction plant that was built on the site and produced materials for construction. The Pla de Bages benefits from a soil rich in red clay resulting from the sedimentation of materials transported by the many rivers that line it. Abandoned, the Aiguamoll de la Bóbila was later rehabilitated into a wooded wetland that birds gradually colonized. Equipped with an ornithological observatory and wooden footbridges, it is a site appreciated by the inhabitants of Santpedor who come to stroll around, observe waterfowl and listen to the rustling wind in the reed beds.
