POBLE VELL
The old medieval centre of Súria is one of the best preserved in the region, with its maze of alleys, timeless squares, secret porches and old stone buildings. The village was formed around its castle, before becoming a fortified town in the 17th and 18th centuries, perched on its hill strategically overlooking the Cardener's Passage and the Salt Road. From the tourist office, via the castle or the church of Le Roser, the village tells the story of a typical medieval Catalan village, which was also the scene of the Carlist wars.
