CENTRE D'INTERPRETACIÓ DE LA BRUIXERIA
This small interactive museum with modern facilities immerses us in the ancestral history of witchcraft (bruixeria). In the village of Sant Feliu Sasserra, 23 women were accused of witchcraft between 1618 and 1648. Six of them were executed. At the end of the journey, a twenty-minute video (available in French) shows the interrogation and conviction of a woman accused of witchcraft. The guided tour ends at the Serrat de Les Forques site where the witches of the village were hanged.
Fira de les Bruixes. Every year since 1999, on November 1st, the Witches' Fair has paid tribute to the women who were unjustly persecuted and executed in the village of Sant Feliu Sasserra in the 16th and 17th centuries. The celebration begins on the eve of All Saints' Day (October 31) with an esoteric parade. The next day, theatrical reconstructions, music and dances fill the streets of the village and bring back to life the popular history of Sant Feliu Sasserra and the witch hunt.
