CENTRE D'INTERPRETACIÓ DE LA BATALLA
On the night of August 13-14, 1714, the village was the scene of the Battle of Talamanca, considered the ultimate victory of the Catalan army in the context of the War of the Spanish Succession. Led by the Marquis de Poal, who sat in the castle, the Catalan army forced the Bourbon troops to withdraw, only a few weeks before the capitulation of Barcelona and Cardona. The interpretation centre, nestled in the Gothic hall of the castle, discusses the strategic decisions of this historical episode in the general context of the War of Succession.
