We spent 2 nights at the end of February to celebrate my daughter's 9th birthday with a trip to Universal Studios. Our visit was made truly special by the wonderful surprise and handwritten birthday card prepared by the staff for our daughter. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail were evident throughout our stay. While the room was cozy, we were a bit disappointed with the aged condition of the restroom. However, we left with smiles on our faces, grateful for the memories created. Nevertheless, the friendly front desk staff, especially Kadeem, made our experience exceptional. Thank you!

The hotel is in a perfect location. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean the staff was very friendly and welcoming the only thing if you planning on visiting Disney theme parks is a little far. Very close to universal and sea world.. But even far i will definitely stay here again breakfast is free and was delicious and parking N wifi was free. They only charge u $15 per night for room security, but they refund your credit card right after you leave.. Will definitely stay here again :)

Dawneth was very professional, friendly and provided recommendations on things to do since I checked in late afternoon. She recommended Icon Park which it did not disappoint. The hotel was clean and decor was nice. There were a lot of kids there for spring break but I didn’t hear any noise in the hallway or from my neighbors. The morning breakfast staff were very friendly and kept things in order with all the people coming and going for breakfast.

(Kedeem) I think that's how it's spelt? Was phenomenal from the moment we walked in. Showed us the gym , breakfast area , pool ,bus shuttle took us for a tour and made us feel so welcomed. Would recommend to anyone who wants to feel like your business actually matters and treated as if your a valued customer.

We booked this hotel for one night on a road trip because it said it was pet friendly. We even called before we booked to ask about the pet fee since we were going to be traveling with our cat. We got in super late, around midnight and were informed that we could not stay there because pet friendly only meant dog friendly. If we hadn’t called before booking I wouldn’t be quite as upset about it, however the man at the check in desk was also quite rude about the way he was turning us away as if he couldn’t believe anyone would need a place to stay with a cat. It was just a very frustrating situation that could’ve easily been avoided if pet friendly was changed to dog friendly. Not to mention driving all day and being 8 months pregnant it was exhausting enough before having to scramble to find somewhere to stay in the middle of the night.

First off, we had a lovely check-in experience with Kaylee who was charming and patient with a couple of snafus I had - mainly struggling to find my member ID. I felt bad prolonging an already late check-in but they made me feel a lot better and genuinely cared.

I chose this place for what seemed to be hard-floored rooms and I was not disappointed. I was told that most of the rooms are remodeled at this point which was great news with my dust allergies. There's just some carpeting under the bed and that's it.

The room had everything I expected. A mini fridge and microwave aren't always a given so that was nice. The sectional in the front part of the room was great. My only complaint was the lack of soundproofing. Despite being on the 5th floor, I heard a fair amount of noise from the bar across the parking lot until it closed. Noise in the hall was pretty audible too and being right next to the elevator didn't help. For what it's worth, my partner slept right through it.

All things considered, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

Our go to hotel! Wonderful stay. Clean with mini kitchen, 2 queen bed and sofa bed. Jordan and Naomi at the front desk took great care of us, very friendly! Good spread of complementary breakfast. All 5 star!

We LOVED this little nugget of hotel happiness. We needed a night to stay before a huge Conference that was on Disney property. The Disney hotel was full, so we spent the night here. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, the rooms were large and spacious and the vibe was very chill. The breakfast was one of the better included breakfasts we’ve had and I didn’t want to leave. When we arrived at our Disney hotel, I immediately wanted to return to this little gem. The Disney property was wayyyyy overrated compared to this Hyatt. I also liked how close we were to Universal, I-Drive and some other attractions. It was in a quiet area and I’d highly, highly highly recommend staying here.

We booked this hotel for our Universal trip based on the reviews and notes that it had recently been renovated. Unfortunately, we found our room to be worn and unclean. Specifically there was a lot of pink mold in the tub and grout, the carpet near the bed frames had a thick line of dust, there was splatters of some type of food on the wall and floor, and the vinyl flooring was so filthy it turned our socks black. Also, it is disappointing that housekeeping only services the rooms every other day of your stay. Also, this hotel allows pets which is concerning with the lower cleanliness standards.

I tried to call the front desk only to find our phone was broken. I alerted the front desk to this issue twice during our stay and it was not fixed.

The elevators were constantly an issue, one or the other was broken at any given time. This caused a traffic issue for guests and it seems the hotel is without a service elevator as staff was also waiting for the one elevator that was working. At one point we waited 17 minutes to get on an elevator after breakfast.

Parking is $18/night. We did not have a car on this trip but were still charged this fee - it took several emails to get this corrected.

Location is convenient for driving/rideshare to the universal parks but there is a ton of construction happening on the street that causes traffic and noise in the hotel. There also isn't really anything you could comfortably walk to.

Breakfast options were decent, scrambled eggs, sausage, canadian bacon, fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, bagels, etc. No omlets, no waffle maker. The buffet area was very crowded and the staff were struggling to keep food, plates, etc. stocked. There also isn't enough tables to accommodate the number of guests at the hotel.

We travel to Orland 4+ times a year and have stayed in many hotels at this price point. We have high tier status with IHG and Hilton but decided to give Hyatt a try this time- unfortunately, we were unimpressed.

2/15/24 Review
Pros: across from Universal Studios, if you can’t catch an Uber or shuttle you can walk from Universal back to this hotel, basic needs met, breakfast OK, Employee assistance and attitude was OK.

Cons: All that was available when we arrived early was “an awesome updated room with 2 queen beds” this was a huge mistake they put us in a connecting door room…a man talked on speakerphone from 10pm-2am and I did not sleep at all and had to go to Universal Studios like that. The connecting rooms you can hear everything on the other side. This hotel allows pets, they do bark if their owner is not around we experienced that a good bit. Our water was shut off during our stay for 4 hours and the power strip in between the beds for phone charger, lamp, hotel phone was out and we did not have a way to contact the front desk.

This hotel is meant for a short trip ONLY when you get there they say “We have Starbucks coffee!” But they don’t say you have to pay extra for it I kind of thought it was complimentary by the way she advertised it. Great location for the park but TONS of construction you have to deal with once there and men were at our window on the 7th floor doing construction when we got in the room. The beds were fine, the shower was OK, and the A/C is on a sensor so be aware of that too if you need it to run all night it shuts off some. When I asked a breakfast male employee how do I order the Starbucks coffee he looked at me weird and spoke with an attitude as if I was a burden to him for asking and told me you have to order with the front desk.
