MUSEUM OF AMERICAN WAR ATROCITIES
The town of Sinchon is about thirty kilometres from Sariwon, the provincial capital. The city itself cannot be visited except for its famous Museum of atrocities of American wars. The Museum opened its doors in March 1958 in the wake of the various anti-US actions established by the regime. The choice of premises is highly symbolic, as it is the former seat of the Korean Workers ' Party where the American imperialists were allegedly sequestered and burned alive. It is one of the various Western attacks and assaults against the integrity of North Korea and its population: mass murders, destruction, occupation of the country after the Second World War, as well as the activities of Christian missionaries to indoctrinate the population.
It is quite difficult to know what is real or rewriting for propaganda purposes. The mosaics of the Museum are the most impressive by their staging and their dramatic theme. The Summit between Trump and Kim Jong-UN in 2018 ends the demonstrations and other anti-American activities in North Korea. This visit was not included in the program of some groups travelling to North Korea in July 2018. Next time inquire beforehand with the agencies whether the visit is scheduled.
