FORT DE DÔN CAO (PU LO)
Built at the end of the century, the ascent is rewarded by a superb panorama of the valley and mountains.
This fort was built at the end of the 19th century, when the French took control of the region. It is located at an altitude of 1,200 m, on the eminence behind the old Dông Van market hall. It provided an effective observation post over the surrounding area, as well as a solid line of defense during various military confrontations. Previously in ruins, it was partially restored to its original state in 2013. The short but intense climb is rewarded by a superb panorama of the valley and mountains.
