VAN GOGHKERKJE - VAN GOGH CHURCH
This small protestant church with a single nave is a building that seems frozen in time
This small, single-aisled Protestant church dates back to 1824, and was pastored by Theo Van Gogh, father of the famous painter, from 1882 to 1885. Vincent Van Gogh painted and sketched this building several times, notably in the illustrious painting Congregation Leaving the Reformed Church in Nuenen. Note the frame on the right-hand side of the building, so you can frame your photo exactly as it appears in the aforementioned Van Gogh painting. A must-see building that seems frozen in time.
