This municipal museum houses a permanent exhibition on the basketry practiced in the town of Odivelas.
The Municipal Museum occupies most of the Jorge Ribeiro de Sousa Agricultural House, a building from the second half of the 19th century. It is the seat of the city's museological pole, which includes the Museum of Sacred Art, the Chaminé archaeological site and the Casa do Vinho e do Cante. It houses a permanent exhibition on the basketry practiced in the city of Odivelas, where the different stages of manufacture are presented, as well as examples of productions. In a separate small room there are some archaeological pieces.
