If the temple does not present a great interest by its architecture, the pilgrims come here to bathe in the sacred basin, the kund. According to the legend of Mahabaratha, the hero Bhima withdrew to Lohargal with his army after his victory at the battle of Kurukshetra. The soldiers, exhausted and soiled by the battle, threw themselves into the basin to wash themselves. Their blood-stained weapons melted instantly. The kund is fed by an underground river.
