One of the most impressive Baori stairwells, with 7 gallery levels pierced by Persian arches

This stepped well is located at the entrance of the city, next to a temple dedicated to Krishna. It is one of the most impressive baoris in Rajasthan. Each of its 7 levels is laid out in galleries pierced by Persian-style arches. The side walls are also carved with arches, pilasters and niches. A majestic staircase descends to the water, topped by a high door. The architectural sobriety added to the impressive dimensions form a very harmonious whole. Well preserved, it is definitely worth a look.
