Located 21 km north of Victoria, the Butchart Gardens are worth a visit. The visitor walks along their peaceful paths and discovers hundreds of fragrant and colorful flowers. There is no sign indicating the name - some might regret it - but the Butchart Gardens invite more to the pleasure of the senses than to that of knowledge. However, more didactic rooms are provided to inform those who wish to know more. Fireworks in July and August, on Saturday nights. Restaurants and stores on site.

De beaux jardins variés offrent une belle balade. Le prix de l'entrée est élevé et l'ambiance parc d'attractions mais la visite est agréable, à noter la boutique souvenirs offre de bonnes idées cadeaux à prix modérés.

Ce jardin botanique situé sur l'ile de Vancouver à une vingtaine de km de Victoria nous fait découvrir une grande variété de plantes aux fleurs magnifiques au cours d'une promenade d'une heure trente à deux heures. Une petite documentation disponible en français permet grâce à des photos de connaitre les noms d'un certain nombre des fleurs du jardin.
