Olivier Gary doesn't just make violins, cellos and violas. The former pupil of Bordeaux master luthier Pierre Taconné restores instruments, from minor adjustments to more substantial repairs, after drawing up a free estimate in the treble clef! He is also happy to appraise violins brought to him from afar, sometimes without asking for the slightest remuneration. Last but not least, he rents out instruments to students at the conservatory and surrounding music schools, the monthly fee being deducted from the price of the instrument in the case of purchase.
