OPÉRA NATIONAL DU RHIN
The Opéra national du Rhin is based at Place Broglie in Strasbourg, following its co-creation in 1972 by the towns of Colmar, Mulhouse and Strasbourg. It is also known as Opéra d'Europe. Each season, Colmar welcomes new young opera singers, the Opéra Studio, under the musical direction of Vincent Monteil, while Mulhouse is committed to developing the Opéra national du Rhin Ballet, which is also a choreographic center. Joint programming in one or other Alsatian town (or all three) means that enthusiasts are sure not to miss a thing: aperitif concerts, comic opera, recitals, dance and opera, of course. The operas are performed at La Filature, on the main stage, with the orchestra in the pit. The ONR also raises awareness among young audiences through school matinees, discovery Wednesdays, educational projects and performances for school groups. Our shows, created in Alsace, also tour Europe to Zurich, Moscow, Brussels... Check out the program: All We Love about Shakespeare on Sunday December 20 and Tuesday December 22. The Nutcracker on Friday April1, Saturday April 2 and Sunday April 3. Das Liebesverbot at Mulhouse-Sinne on Friday June 3 and Sunday June 5, among many other top-quality shows.
