La Filature was conceived in 1993 by Claude Vasconi with the aim of reconciling functionality and aesthetics. It has 3 rooms and offers a rich programme open to the world, with major references in the repertoire and contemporary creations. Each season, this stage offers 50 shows - theatre, dance, music, circus, young audience - highlighting both well-known artists and young talents. The venue also houses a bar, a library, the Mulhouse Symphony Orchestra and hosts the Opéra national du Rhin.

Modernes Veranstaltungscenter mit dem Charme der 80er Jahre. Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich. Akustik ist durch das fehlende Holz im Innenraum eine Katastrophe. Für Kino oder Vorträge mag es gehen, aber für klassische Musik ist es absolut nicht geeignet. Habe dort eine Wagneroper gesehen und 5 Stunden akustisch gelitten. Klang ist hart, überproportional laut und kalt, die harten Wände bieten keine Resonanz und Klangentfaltung.
