ELECTROPOLIS MUSEUM
Museum tracing the history of electricity since Antiquity, and the experiments carried out from the 17th century to the present day
The "Adventure of Electricity" museum, created in 1992 thanks to EDF sponsorship, to preserve the 1901 Sulzer-BBC generator. With its 4,000 m², it is the largest museum of electricity and household appliances in Europe. It traces the history of electricity from antiquity, through experiments conducted from the 17th century to the present day. A playful scenography that appeals to young and old alike. An educational booklet for 8-12 year olds is available at the reception desk. A little bonus: the museum is entirely accessible to pushchairs.
