Europe's largest museum dedicated to electrical energy, tracing the history of electricity from Antiquity to the present day.
Inaugurated in 1992, the Électropolis Museum was created to save from destruction a Sulzer-BBC steam generator that powered the DMC factories, the flagship of Mulhouse's textile industry. Here, visitors can discover the history of electrical energy through the ages by tracing the path of electricity. A new dedicated area completes the tour. Nostalgically, we rediscover household appliances with a retro or old-fashioned look. In the experimental area, children can play with static electricity, leaving their hair looking a little out of place!
