THE GREEN FLOW OF THE ILL
Mulhouse is home to many species of flora and fauna, including mallards, coots, moorhens and swans
It extends from Cockrouri, towards the former SACM, to Didenheim, crossing the Bois des Philosophes. Access is behind the nautical stadium and skating rink. This is a haven for numerous plant and animal species. Between 300 and 500 birds nest here every year. As the Ill has been widened between the Brunstatt bridge and the Cockrouri, mud inflows and a shallow water level have allowed numerous species of marsh plants to thrive. Mallards, coots, moorhens, swans, laughing gulls and cormorants all thrive here.
