LA CLOCHE À FROMAGES
Gourmets now know the Avenue d'Altkirch like the back of their hand and go there to stock up on fine products. They come to La Cloche à Fromages, an attractive boutique dedicated to cheeses in a soberly decorated space. The seven cheese families are offered in 250 seasonal variations throughout the year, and come from small producers rigorously selected by René Tourette, the shop's grand master. La Cloche à Fromage is not a franchise, but a company that has grown over the years. René Tourette also runs a store in Haguenau, two others in Strasbourg and the famous restaurant of the same name in Strasbourg, well known for its XXL cheese bell. After maturing in the Strasbourg cellars, the cheeses are redistributed to the various sales outlets in Alsace. In addition to its wide range of cheeses, La Cloche à Fromages also offers an attractive wine cellar, always with the same ethic: to give priority to small French producers whose wines are a perfect match for the whole range on offer. Perfect for choosing a bottle in harmony with the tête de moine or the bleu de Gers, unless you've chosen a morbier or a sainte-maure from Touraine... A small delicatessen section adds the finishing touch to the already intense temptation: sardines, chocolate, honeys, jams, mustards and condiments, enough to delight every taste bud!
