JORANDA GADI
Visit the temple to see the monastery, home to some 20 monks who wear a simple orange cloth
The Joranda Gadi shelters a monastery where live about twenty monks, who walk around in the simplest clothes, or almost. A simple piece of orange cloth hides their genitals. At the time of the Darsana, they go to the main temple. They walk around it several times, clockwise, while two monks beat a drum and ring a bell. They bow many times face down on the ground then they take cymbals, bells and tambourines and turn again around the temple until the twilight.
