BASILICO
The perfect Italian canteen. One may think that one has made a mistake by pushing the Basilico gate, as the place is so intimate and familiar. The antithesis of its neighbour the Pizze-Riah, although held by the same owner, but still crowded. It feels like eating here at a friend's house, whether you choose the few indoor tables or the green and colourful garden with a few lanterns after dark. As we get closer to cooking, it smells like Italy! And on the menu too, where Lagos regulars find it hard to believe the prices, which are unbeatable for a Western cuisine. Let yourself be tempted by the generous homemade bruschettas as an aperitif, before melting carbonara or a meat dish. No pizza though, it's next door. If you have a little hunger left, then don't miss the tiramisu: tasty! Be careful, the service can be very slow on busy evenings.
