YACHT CLUB
The King of the Sea, who anchored at the port of Lagos in 1931 and offers his members sailing and regattas, for a breath of fresh air towards the open sea. In addition to the outings, the club enjoys an incredible 300° view of the ocean and the port of Lagos, all on a pleasant outdoor terrace that offers one of the cheapest beers in the city. But LYC is above all a sailing club, which wants to remain so! As the current Commodore humorously states: "We want to be a sailing club with a drinking problem, and not a drinking club with a sailing problem! ». The latter is French, a beautiful take from the hexagon to a club historically ruled by the British. The establishment has two categories of boats: Hobby 16 (catamarans) and Lightenings (American monohull), some Lazers, Aspray and GP14, as well as a historic fleet of wooden boats. The regatta programme runs every Saturday and public holiday, and enthusiasts are welcome on Sundays and other days of the week, for outings to the port and nearby coves.
