NIGERIAN FIELD SOCIETY

NFS is a historical environmental research association, founded in 1930 and supported by universities through its various branches in Nigeria (Lagos, Abuja, Abeokuta, Benin City, Ibadan and Ife-Ife), as well as a branch in the United Kingdom! She manages the publication of one of Nigeria's oldest newspapers, The Nigerian Field. The very active Lagos branch is led by two passionate Canadians who know Nigeria inside out: Robin and Hugh Campbell, who focus on excursions and discovering the country. NFS would like to point out that it is not a travel agency, but a group of enthusiastic volunteers who offer regular excursions to Makoko, Badagry, Osogbo, Ife-Ife, Oyo, Jos, Kano, as well as many other cultural days and even trips to Benin and São Tomé! The whole being centred around history, arts and culture and allowing a fascinating dive into the Nigerian environment, otherwise difficult to access.
