LEKKI CONSERVATION CENTER
A resurgent forest walk, the LCC is a space-time leap that projects you into what Lagos would be without its 23 million inhabitants, into the marshy mangrove forests that the Portuguese had to find when they arrived in the 15th century. The route delimited by a wooden bridge leaves the mainland for a while to fly over the canopy on suspension bridges: it would be the longest canopy in West Africa (400 m)! Suffering from vertigo, abstain, but an alternative route avoids the canopy for those who would just like to enjoy the environment. Be careful, the outing really loses its interest when the crowds and heat are at their highest level, around lunch. Crocodiles would inhabit the area, which some may have seen in the rainy season, but you will certainly see the Mona monkeys, very thieves, and perhaps some snakes indicated by the guide. At the end of the road is a very lively family park at lunchtime, with barbecue and coconut water at a lower cost. On the way back, a 15-metre tree to climb.
