Under the direction of Adenrele Sonariwo, also curator of the gallery, the Rele gallery's two small all-white rooms contrast with the bustle of the Lagos Island district, as well as its large black blockhouse exterior appearance - very arty. The establishment offers new collections every 6 to 8 weeks, with almost exclusively Nigerian artists and a majority of paintings. The works are detailed and explanatory panels accompany the exhibitions.
