Built in 1904, the building does not look like much at first glance, but reveals a superb interior of period dark woodwork. It is one of the oldest churches in the country and the place where Mary Slessor used to pray in her time, which still hosts Sunday sermons today. The adjacent primary school dates from 1910. 5 minutes walk from there (uphill) is the cemetery, and the guardian of the church may accompany you there. On and around the road, a few period houses, including one of Mary Slessor's old - rather dilapidated - residences.
