MARINA WALK
Nice walk along the riverside, popular with Calabar's youth, who come to stroll there on weekends. The tide can be observed rising and falling along the mangrove swamp of the Calabar River, which flows just a few kilometres into the Atlantic. In addition to the Slavery Museum, the Marina also houses the boat landing stage that will take you to Creek Town or Twins Island, as well as many small shops: Nigerian snack restaurants, clothing shops, a cinema and even a carousel! There is also a games room with billiards, table tennis, table games and video games. At the end of the jetty to the north, there are a series of very nice straw hut bars, some of which have been installed in old colonial houses, for a pretty setting where you can sit while waiting for a boat to fill up.
