NIKE ART GALLERY - ABUJA
Abujanese space of the illustrious Nike, mother and protector of many contemporary artists of the country. If its Lagosian gallery is incomparably more extensive, it is interesting because of its village aspect, with various huts in the suburbs decorated with psychedelic sculptures and statues that are reminiscent of the art of the sacred forest of Osogbo, a city where Nike has one of its art centres. There are also some stone statues from Osogbo and the indigo batiks from Kano (another centre of the artist), as well as many paintings, masks and terra cotta pots. Surprising stroll in the garden which is not without interest.
