BATURE BREWERIE

The first and only artisanal brewery in Abuja! The ten homemade beers, which rotate with the seasons, are brewed on site and the owners will show you around if you ask. Founded by a Scotsman and two Englishmen, Kevin, James and Andrew, malt lovers who imported the precious machines themselves piece by piece! Bature - European in Hausa - offers a variety of draught beers or bottles: blondes, redheads or stout brewed with local ingredients (malt, coffee, hibiscus...) and named after some Nigerian symbols - Areaboi, Keke, Shakara... Although small, the setting is very pleasant, with a pretty indoor bar and an outdoor terrace that overflows happily into the parking lot on busy evenings and live concerts. The brewery has gradually made its place in town, and its beers are served in various establishments including its neighbour Johnny Rockets, La Cantina, the Secret Garden, or the Nordic Hotel.
